Calandlyceum, school website Amsterdam
The strategic and visual concept by Wunder and thonik translated into a fast, scalable site.
The challenge
For Calandlyceum, the strategic and visual concept was already defined by Wunder and creative agency thonik. Our challenge was to implement the design faithfully, without compromising visual quality, typography, or interactions. At the same time, the website needed to stay clear for multiple audiences, provide space for distinctive programs such as Technasium and cultural projects, and remain technically strong in terms of performance and maintainability. In short, we built within an established design direction while delivering a future-proof engineering foundation.
Our approach
Translated the design by Wunder and thonik into reusable components, with high accuracy in typography, spacing, and details.
Worked out page structure and content hierarchy so programmes and projects are easy to find for students, parents, and partners.
Configured the CMS around clear content types, so the school team can maintain pages without breaking the design.
Took performance as the baseline in front-end implementation with optimised assets.
Set up an SEO baseline with consistent metadata and a technically clean structure.

The result
An accessible and visually distinctive website that strengthens the Calandlyceum's identity and effectively serves different audiences. The site accommodates educational programmes and projects, aligns with the vision on talent development, and performs strongly on the technical side. The design has been precisely translated onto a scalable foundation, so the school can iterate without compromising structure or performance.
