House of Hospitality, bilingual website and CMS

A bilingual website with a clear narrative, strong structure, and a CMS that stays easy to manage.

The challenge

We needed to explain what the foundation is and does in a way that feels clear and concrete. At the same time, the site had to showcase initiatives and the network, and present the vision, mission, and service organization in a logical way. Because the visitor economy increasingly relies on English-speaking professionals, the website also had to be accessible to non-Dutch visitors. That’s why we delivered the site as a fully bilingual experience.

Another key challenge was serving different visitor intents, from first-time orientation to people searching for specific content or parts of other HoH websites. That’s why we added a homepage dashboard with shortcuts, helping users reach the right section or related site quickly.

Our approach

1

Sharpened the information architecture around the core questions: who are we, what do we do, who do we work with, and how do you get involved.

2

Organised content and pages by visitor intent: getting acquainted, exploring initiatives, understanding the network, or navigating directly to tools and platforms.

3

Set up the website bilingually, so both Dutch and English-speaking visitors experience the same story and navigation.

4

Designed a homepage dashboard with clear shortcuts for returning visitors and goal-oriented navigation.

5

Configured the CMS so content stays maintainable and consistent, even as initiatives and partners change.

6

Sharpened copy and structure so the proposition and service organisation are quickly understood.

Technical details

Laravel build with Filament as the CMS
Bilingual content structure with consistent fields per language
Content modeling using reusable blocks and clear content types
Homepage dashboard implemented as a composed module with shortcuts
SEO baseline: per-page metadata, clean URL structure, indexability
Performance basics: optimized assets and predictable component structure
Maintainability focus: consistent fields, validation, editor-friendly labels

The result

A bilingual website that positions the foundation clearly and accessibly, with a logical path to initiatives, network, and core narrative. The Dutch and English versions make the site immediately usable for English-speaking professionals in the visitor economy. The homepage dashboard makes the site practical for returning visitors looking for something specific. In the CMS, content managers can make updates without friction, while the structure stays consistent.
