Stichting House of Hospitality

House of Hospitality, community and knowledge platform for the network

A bilingual platform where the hospitality network shares knowledge, follows events, and connects.

The challenge

The foundation already had an institutional site that shows who House of Hospitality is and what the network does. What was missing was a place where the community of practice actually comes to life: where partners find knowledge, follow events, meet experts and each other, and contribute. A network like this, with dozens of partners and hundreds of professionals, only becomes a community once there is a platform underneath that carries that exchange.

A second requirement came with it. The network spans a range of roles, from employer and educator to student and alumnus, and increasingly works with English-speaking professionals. The platform had to serve all of those visitors and be fully bilingual, without making the management more complex.

Our approach

1

Built the information architecture around the core of a community: finding knowledge, meeting each other, finding experts, and contributing.

2

Designed a knowledge base, calendar and stories section so partners find insights, events and practical cases in one place.

3

Created a partner directory and expert pool where organisations and experts are findable, and where partners manage their own profile without involving the foundation.

4

Set up a members area with login for the network.

5

Built the platform bilingually, with Dutch and English as equal languages.

6

Designed and built the whole on Laravel and Filament, with a block-based content structure so the foundation manages everything itself.

House of Hospitality, community and knowledge platform for the network

Technical details

Laravel build with Filament as the CMS
Block-based content structure with reusable content types (knowledge base, calendar, stories, partners, experts)
Multilingual content structure with consistent fields per language (NL/EN)
Self-managed partner profiles through the CMS
Members area with login for the network
SEO baseline: per-page metadata, clean URL structure, indexability
Performance: optimized assets and predictable component structure
Maintainability: consistent fields, validation, editor-friendly labels

The result

A platform where the network actually works together: sharing knowledge, following events, finding experts and partners, and contributing. The foundation manages everything from one environment, partners maintain their own profile, and the whole is accessible in both Dutch and English. Live since 30 June 2026, ready to grow with the 2026-2030 direction.
